As a nonsectarian nursery school sponsored by Huguenot Memorial Church, we honor our Judeo-Christian heritage in modest ways that children can understand: a prayer of thanks before snack, some songs which recognize God as a presence in our lives, and, above all, a curriculum that stresses dignity and respect for everyone, and care for one another. Four times a year our children visit the chapel for a simple service honoring our families and our Judeo-Christian heritage. The minister chats with the children about the seasons and families and the children sing songs with the music teacher. Huguenot Nursery School is an accredited Nuersary School by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. We offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages two to four. We offer art, music, reading, and playtime with specially selected toys and equipment. The children attend a creative music class once a week as well as experience visits from a nature center and a storyteller. The program nurtures the growth of each child while building skills in a school setting. This early school experience establishes a positive and solid foundation for future learning. At Huguenot Nursery School, we spend a lot of time...
